What would you do if you or your family were caught in extremely threatening situation like an active shooter, terrorist attack or even gang violence? Now imagine if you could be trained on how to avoid, mitigate or even defend against these attacks by the same person who trains the CIA, FBI, DEA, US Naval Special Warfare and civilians alike?

 

The Active Threat Control ™Training Workshop, presented by the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association, is a combined lecture and light physical skills program designed for the security minded citizen who is concerned about their personal security and that of their family seeking effective counter-measures against current and emerging threats. In this one or two-day workshop, you will learn:

 
  • Preventative Defense - PreFense®
    • Gain the 90% Tactical Advantage over any attacker
    • Situational awareness: How to use it to control your environment
    • How to identify real-world threats before they impact you
    • The anatomy of an attack and how to disrupt it
    • Pre-operational Surveillance Indicators and Protective Intelligence
  • Active Shooter Management
    • How to avoid and mitigate an active shooter/threat
    • Employing active defensive measures
  • Active Threat Defense
    • How to safely move from a threat with the least amount of injury possible
    • Learn what is and how to control the three determining factors of any fight
    • How to gain control over the threat before the threat controls you
  • Active Threat Countermeasures
    • Identification, deployment and application of improvised weapons
    • Recognize and control all three stages of human physical aggression
    • Using your firearm (if you carry) to ensure your personal security
 

Former CIA full-time employee, professional educator, author and keynote speaker Steve Tarani has served the United States Dept. of Defense, Law Enforcement and Intelligence communities for over 25 years as a respected personal security subject matter expert.  He remains a service provider to numerous high/ low-profile federal agencies and a federally certified force options instructor actively contracted by NAVSOC, NSA, DHS, FBI, DEA,  and throughout the private sector.
